Gambeya muerensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Sapotaceae (suku sawo-sawoan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sudan Selatan hingga RD Kongo timur. Nama ilmiah Gambeya muerensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler pada tahun 1989.
