Gelasia caespitosa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Maroko hingga Aljazair. Nama ilmiah Gelasia caespitosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Auguste Pomel pada tahun 2020.
