Gerbera ovata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Eastern Cape. Nama ilmiah Gerbera ovata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Charles Manning pada tahun 2016.
