Gibasis venustula adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Commelinaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Gibasis venustula diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Sigismund Kunth pada tahun 1978.
