Gilbertiodendron splendidum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Gilbertiodendron splendidum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Auguste Jean Baptiste Chevalier pada tahun 1954.
