Gilia ochroleuca merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Polemoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Meksiko (Baja California). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan volcanic gilia. Nama ilmiah Gilia ochroleuca diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Marcus Eugene Jones pada tahun 1898.
