Gladiolus abbreviatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Gladiolus abbreviatus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Cranke Andrews pada tahun 1801.
