Gladiolus brachyphyllus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Mozambique selatan hingga Mpumalanga timur. Nama ilmiah Gladiolus brachyphyllus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frank Bolus pada tahun 1917.
