Gladiolus permeabilis subsp. edulis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Zimbabwe hingga Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Gladiolus permeabilis subsp. edulis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William John Burchell pada tahun 1972.
