Gladiolus varius merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Iridaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Mpumalanga. Nama ilmiah Gladiolus varius pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Frank Bolus pada tahun 1917.
