Glossocardia smithii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Jawa. Nama ilmiah Glossocardia smithii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Cornelis Andries Backer pada tahun 1991.
