Glyphaea tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Glyphaea tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1868.
