Gmelina chinensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China tenggara hingga Laos. Nama ilmiah Gmelina chinensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Bentham pada tahun 1861.
