Gnidia cyanea merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Gnidia cyanea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William John Burchell pada tahun 1822.
