Gnidia polystachya merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Gnidia polystachya pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Peter Jonas Bergius pada tahun 1767.
