Gnidia simplex merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Nama ilmiah Gnidia simplex pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Henry Cranke Andrews pada tahun 1799. Nama spesies ini merupakan sinonim dari Gnidia polystachya var. polystachya.
