Gomphocarpus phillipsiae merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apocynaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Eritrea hingga Tanzania utara dan timur. Nama ilmiah Gomphocarpus phillipsiae pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicholas Edward Brown pada tahun 1996.
