Gomphocarpus tomentosus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Apocynaceae yang tumbuh dalam bentuk perdu. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Afrika Selatan dan kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Nama ilmiah Gomphocarpus tomentosus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis William John Burchell pada tahun 1822.
