Gonatopus petiolulatus merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Araceae (suku talas-talasan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania hingga Mozambique. Nama ilmiah Gonatopus petiolulatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis (Gustav) Albert Peter pada tahun 1978.
