Gonystylus areolatus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Kalimantan selatan dan Timur. Nama ilmiah Gonystylus areolatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Walter Domke pada tahun 1952.
