Goodyera repens merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Orchidaceae (suku anggrek-anggrekan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk akar rimpang. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah belahan bumi utara yang beriklim sedang . Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan lesser rattlesnake plantain. Nama ilmiah Goodyera repens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1813.
