Gossypium harknessii subsp. armourianum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Meksiko (Baja California). Nama ilmiah Gossypium harknessii subsp. armourianum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Thomas Henry Kearney pada tahun 1950.
