Grammitis magellanica merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Polypodiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kepulauan Juan Fernández, Chili selatan dan selatan-tengah, Argentina selatan, hingga Tristan da Cunha. Nama ilmiah Grammitis magellanica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicaise Auguste Desvaux pada tahun 1811.
