Grewia tephrodermis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur. Nama ilmiah Grewia tephrodermis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Moritz Schumann pada tahun 1904.
