Grindelia buphthalmoides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) hingga Argentina (Buenos Aires). Nama ilmiah Grindelia buphthalmoides diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1836.
