Grindelia hirtella merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Meksiko (Puebla, Oaxaca). Nama ilmiah Grindelia hirtella pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Benjamin Lincoln Robinson pada tahun 2012.
