Grubbia tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Grubbiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk bonggol berbentuk umbi. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat daya. Nama ilmiah Grubbia tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Peter Thunberg pada tahun 1935.
