Gunnera prorepens merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Gunneraceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Selandia Baru. Nama ilmiah Gunnera prorepens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Joseph Dalton Hooker pada tahun 1852.
