Gymnanthes lucida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Euphorbiaceae (suku kastuba-kastubaan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Florida selatan, Karibia, Meksiko, hingga Amerika tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan oysterwood. Nama ilmiah Gymnanthes lucida diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1788.
