Gymnema littorale merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Apocynaceae yang memiliki pola tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Jawa. Nama ilmiah Gymnema littorale diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Ludwig Blume pada tahun 1850.
