Gymnosiphon afro-orientalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan holomikotrofik dari famili Burmanniaceae yang tumbuh menahun. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Tanzania selatan hingga Zambia. Nama ilmiah Gymnosiphon afro-orientalis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Martin Roy Cheek pada tahun 2009.
