Gymnosporia intermedia merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika hingga Caprivi Strip. Nama ilmiah Gymnosporia intermedia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Emilio Chiovenda pada tahun 1911.
