Gynoxys hirsuta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kolombia (Antioquia, Boyacá, Cundinamarca). Nama ilmiah Gynoxys hirsuta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1856.
