Gynura calciphila merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Semenanjung Thailand. Nama ilmiah Gynura calciphila diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Arthur Francis George Kerr pada tahun 1935.
