Hamamelis vernalis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Hamamelidaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian timur-tengah. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ozark witchhazel. Nama ilmiah Hamamelis vernalis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Charles Sprague Sargent pada tahun 1911.
