Handroanthus umbellatus merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Bignoniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Handroanthus umbellatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Otto Wilhelm Sonder pada tahun 1970.
