Harpalyce alainii merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kuba timur laut. Nama ilmiah Harpalyce alainii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Frère León pada tahun 1950.
