Harpalyce macrocarpa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Kuba tengah. Nama ilmiah Harpalyce macrocarpa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Nathaniel Lord Britton pada tahun 1920.
