Harpalyce speciosa merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Harpalyce speciosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Hermann Wilhelm Taubert pada tahun 1894.
