Hedychium ellipticum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan epifit dari famili Zingiberaceae (suku temu-temuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Hedychium ellipticum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Francis Buchanan-Hamilton pada tahun 1811.
