Hedychium thyrsiforme adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Zingiberaceae (suku temu-temuan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya hingga India timur dan Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Hedychium thyrsiforme diperkenalkan oleh James Edward Smith pada tahun 1811.
