Hedypnois cretica adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Macaronesia, Mediterania, hingga Iran barat. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cretanweed. Nama ilmiah Hedypnois cretica pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georges Louis Marie Dumont de Courset pada tahun 1801.
