Helenium aromaticum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Chili tengah dan utara-tengah. Nama ilmiah Helenium aromaticum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama William Jackson Hooker pada tahun 1915.
