Helianthus microcephalus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian timur-tengah dan tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan small woodland sunflower. Nama ilmiah Helianthus microcephalus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Torrey pada tahun 1842.
