Helichrysum petiolare adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika Selatan dan kawasan tropis Afrika bagian selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan licorice-plant. Nama ilmiah Helichrysum petiolare diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olive Mary Hilliard pada tahun 1973.
