Helichrysum thapsus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Helichrysum thapsus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Karl August Otto Hoffmann pada tahun 1898.
