Helicteres lenta merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Brazil. Nama ilmiah Helicteres lenta pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1839.
