Helictochloa murcica merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Semenanjung Iberia. Nama ilmiah Helictochloa murcica diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Josef Ludwig Holub pada tahun 2011.
