Helictotrichon tianschanicum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Asia tengah hingga Xinjiang. Nama ilmiah Helictotrichon tianschanicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Roman Julievich Roshevitz pada tahun 1940.
