Heliotropium curassavicum var. obovatum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Boraginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kanada bagian tengah hingga Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan seaside heliotrope. Nama ilmiah Heliotropium curassavicum var. obovatum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1845.
